The Dublin Silver Band, a 32-member British-style brass band, came into existence two years ago as the Ohio Brass Band, having been founded by Patrick Herak and Dr. Paul Droste, and has changed its name and home in order to become a part of the Dublin Community Bands organization.

The Ohio Brass Band was assembled with the expressed purpose of participating in the U. S. Open Brass Band Championships, and the Dublin Silver Band continues this tradition.

The members of the Dublin Silver Band have been chosen for not only their outstanding musicianship but also for their willingness to commit to becoming one of the elite groups of its type in North America and the World.

This group of professional-level volunteer musicians come together from communities all over Central Ohio and as far away as Marion, Bellefontaine, and Cincinnati. They are determined to make excellence their number-one priority, and to make their performances innovative, intriguing, entertaining, and clearly different from other groups of their type.
